General Information

ADMISSION:  $5.00 per person (Contestants and children under 2 years are FREE!)

SOUVENIR PROGRAM BOOK:  $5.00 Each.  Available on Pageant Day only.
                                                                                             Reserve on Entry Form

RULES:  No Previous Pageant Experience is Needed – All Contestants compete on an equal basis
                 Contestants may win the Title of any/all events entered.

REHEARSAL:  One practice session will be held.  Contestants will be notified about the date and time.

PAGEANT:  All Contestants should arrive backstage at 5:30 p.m. (dressing room will be provided) Check in to receive your Contestant Number – Pay Balance CASH ONLY – turn in CD’s (music) for Talent Competition if entered. Pageant will begin promptly at 6:30 -  Please be dressed and in line up backstage by 6:25p.m.

Competition Events

BEAUTY:  (required) Each contestant will compete for the Prestigious Title of Senior Ms. Sumter in the following three phases of Competition –
Introduction: Contestants will briefly introduce themselves to the audience and Judges.  Contestants should wear a nice blouse and pants or a pants suit for this event. (no jeans)
Day Wear:  Contestants will model on stage their outfit of choice.  Contestants should wear a Church dress or Business Suit for this event.
Formal Wear:  Contestants will model on stage and briefly answer an on stage question.  Contestants should wear a Formal Evening Gown.  One Easy to answer questions will be taken from a topic on the contestants entry form.  The Contestant with the highest cumulative score will be Ceremoniously Crowned with the Prestigious title of Senior Ms. Sumter and receive a Brilliant Crown, Embroidered Title Sash, floral Bouquet and Trophy! Runner Ups will receive a floral bouquet and trophy. All remaining contestants will receive a trophy.

Additional Opportunities to take Home the Crown!

Spirit of Sumter Queen:  (required) This is a Community Spirit Competition.  It is also a Titled Event. 
Each Senior Ms. Sumter Contestant will collect “Good Luck Wishes” from family members, friends or businesses as Sponsors of that Contestant.  Each Good Luck Wish is $5.00. Each Senior Ms. Sumter Contestant is required to include with their entry 5 Good Luck Wishes for their Program page.
To compete for the Title of Spirit of Sumter Queen, (optional) Contestants will continue to collect sponsor’s Good Luck Wishes and Ad pages.  ¼  Page Sponsor Ads are $15.00, ½  Page Sponsor Ads are $35.00 and One Whole Page Sponsor Ads are $75.00.   Each Contestant's Good Luck Wishes and Sponsor Ads will be printed in the Souvenir Program Book along with the Contestant pictures. Sponsors of each Contestant with ¼  Page, ½ Page or Whole Page Ads will also be announced on stage during the Spirit of Sumter Awards Presentation. All Sponsors generously contributing $75.00 or more will receive a Community Spirit Award Sponsorship Certificate. This award will be presented on stage during the Crowning Ceremony to the Contestant they sponsor and later brought to them by the Contestant.  All Contestants must collect 5 Good Luck Wishes for their Program page, however Contestants may choose to compete for the Spirit of Sumter Queen title in addition to the Beauty Competition.  All Contestants competing in this event will receive a Gift on Stage.  The One Contestant collecting the highest dollar amount in Sponsor Ads will be Ceremoniously Crowned with the Prestigious title of Spirit of Sumter Queen and receive a Brilliant Crown, Embroidered Title Sash, and a floral Bouquet!

Senior Cover Model: (optional)  This is not a required event, it may be entered separately by the Senior Ms. Sumter Contestants that would like to enter.  It is a Titled event.  Contestants may enter by submitting their favorite picture for Judging.  This picture may be the same one sent in for the Program book or it may be another selection. It may be any size, no larger than 8 x 10, color or black & white.  It may not be digitally enhanced.  All Pictures will be returned to you at the pageant. All Contestants competing in this event will receive a Gift on Stage. The highest scoring photo will be featured on the Front Inside cover of the Program book and the Contestant will be Ceremoniously Crowned with the Prestigious title of Senior Cover Model and receive a Brilliant Crown, Embroidered Title Sash, and a floral Bouquet!

Grand Talent Champion: (optional)  This is not required…it is a FUN EVENT that allows all those that wish to participate the opportunity to Showcase their unique abilities!
 All Contestants competing in this event will receive a Gift on Stage.  The One Contestant with the highest score will be Ceremoniously Crowned with the Prestigious title of Grand Talent Champion and receive a Brilliant Crown, Embroidered Title Sash, and a floral Bouquet!

Ms. Congeniality:  All Contestants will vote for the one Contestant that they feel has demonstrated the Best Pageant Spirit.  This Contestant will be Ceremoniously Crowned with the Prestigious title of Ms. Congeniality and receive a Brilliant Crown, Embroidered Title Sash, and a floral Bouquet!

I hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Gay C. Berry and anyone associated with any Crowns Across America Pageants from any & all claims. No refunds unless this event is canceled & not rescheduled.  Video and Photos may be used for promotion.   Judges decisions are final. Contestants may win multiple titles and awards.  Queens will be asked to make appearances and I agree to provide my own transportation to and from these appearances.I agree to pay a $35.00 returned check fee.
